Philippines

 Pearl of the Orient Seas

Although I'm not that much into national anthems, I do really like the Filipino one, that's why I want to share it with you.
I chose this video, cause it contains some nice pictures of the Philippines and features some aspects of filipino life, for example that a lot of people are working abroad.

 Getting there:
If you want to go to the Philippines, you should book your flight about 2-3 months beforehand. I usually use flight search engines to book my trip. One of the cheapest these days is Skyscanner or for students I would highly recommend STA Travel . If you only need a reservation first (due to visa issues or whatever) you might consider writing a mail to the nice staff of Kirschner Reisen . I usually book my flights to Manila and then book a flight separately to my final destination. For flights within the Philippines check out Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines.

Attention: The Airport Manila CLARK is about 100km away from Manila!

Visa:
German citizens get a 21-days-visa upon arrival, which is free of charge. If you want to stay longer in the Philippines, you can get your visa in Germany from the Embassy of the Philippines or you can go to the bureau of immigration in one of the bigger cities, to get a visa extension.

I tried both way and getting the visa in Germany is more relaxed and cheaper, so I would recommend that.
