Early preparations

Although I almost can't resist the feeling to pack my suitcase, it is still way too early to do it. So let us start with some early preparations.

There are a lot of things which should be on your list, before you go traveling. Especially if you are going to stay longer than a few weeks in a country, think about the visa, vaccinations you might need, health insurance, an international drivers license, etc.

I took a picture of my list for my studies in Phuket, Thailand (unfortunately its in German ;) )


Bevor es an das große Packen geht, müssen noch viele Dinge in Deutschland erledigt werden.
Vor allem bei einem längeren Aufenthalt in einem Land, wird die Liste immer länger und länger. Welches Visum benötige ich? Wo bekomme ich dieses? Welche Impfungen benötige ich? Bin ich ausreichend versichert?...

So sieht im Moment meine vorläufige Checkliste für Phuket, Thailand aus:

A new journey begins

Welcome to my new blog!
I am Madeleine, 21 years old and I want to use this blog for sharing my travel experiences online. In September I will go to Thailand, to study one semester at the Prince of Songkla University, Phuket. Previously I've lived in the Philippines and have traveled to Vietnam, so I want to share my past experiences in Southeast-Asia with you, before I go to Thailand.
